oh yeah, well done not having the common sense to use protection and well done for intending to raise another kid on benefits, degree level skill set there.

Haha, I’m not sure I meant it quite as cynically as that, although in a number of cases I agree with you. I just don’t get the reason for congratulations. Maybe an “I’m happy you’re happy” to my friends whose potential parenting skills are probably pretty good and who are likely to raise children to be exactly what the world really needs. But sperm you neither controlled nor guided fertilized an egg and made a tiny human…you know, eventually….congratulations? I don’t know. I don’t really have any disdain for procreating couples or women or whatever, but I’m having an issue with the social protocol involved.
